This book features poetry and creative non-fiction writing from 11 authors and photos and illustrations from 21 artists.
The authors remember activities, people, and places that shaped their appreciation for small scale food production and food processing. Beginner small scale farmers, a jam-maker food activist, an entomologist, poets, artists, and a librarian recollect exploring grandparents' gardens, gleaning walnuts from a walnut orchard, studying honeybee colony collapse disorder, planting garlic, and more.
